HILLCREST’S SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Sunday School uses a modern curriculum called, “Deep Blue”. It has an app that you can download on your tablet or smartphone that will allow children to play games during the week and other activities after the lesson. There is also a parent’s section so parents/guardians can keep up with what is being covered on Sunday mornings. See

We continue to do many interesting and worthwhile projects.

Dear Melissa,

Further to my telephone call, I am pleased to inform you that Hillcrest United Church Sunday School has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Farmers Helping Farmers Youth Award. The award recognizes youth who have made an outstanding contribution to Farmers Helping Farmers and its work in Kenya.

The awareness and fundraising events organized by your group have been an inspiration to the church and community. The youth have served as role models helping to increase understanding about the importance of community service and global citizenship.

We are pleased that representatives for the Sunday School are available to attend the award ceremony on Thursday, June 2. The ceremony will be part of the organization’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event will be held at the Farm Centre, 420 University Ave, Charlottetown.  Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to be followed by the awards presentation and the AGM.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience with the names of the youth who plan to attend. Should you have questions concerning the evening, do not hesitate to contact me.

Congratulations.

Sincerely, Sandra MacKinnon                Awards Program Chair
